• In accordance with Virginia’s Department of Health and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we are instituting the following measures to safeguard your health and that of our staff. These will remain in place for the foreseeable future and include:

    • Telephone screening when scheduling/confirming appointment, which will include questions about your current health, recent travel and potential exposure to COVID-19.
    • If you arrive by car, if possible please remain in the car and call us for remote check-in.
    • Please arrive at your appointed time. In order to maintain social distancing, we cannot accommodate early or late arrivals.
    • No companions will be allowed in the office; the only exceptions will be for a patient that is a minor, who will be allowed one adult companion, or the caregiver of a physically challenged or elderly patient.
    • No children of any age will be allowed in the office unless they are the patient.
    • PLEASE WEAR A MASK WHEN YOU COME TO THE OFFICE. We will not be able to see you or allow you in the office unless you are wearing a mask. Due to a shortage of protective equipment, we cannot supply masks for patients. A cloth or commercially available mask is appropriate. All team members will wear masks at all times.
    • When entering the office, a temperature check will be performed. Team members will also be screened daily prior to entering the office.
    • Strict sanitation protocols will continue to be enforced throughout the office, including disinfection of all surface areas, door handles and pieces of equipment that are frequently touched.
    • Eyeglass frames in the optical shop are disinfected after being touched or tried on.
    • We are reducing the number of daily appointments to keep our office area at low capacity and allow for adequate social distancing.
    • TELEMEDICINE visits are available to patients with selected conditions. These can be set up by calling the office and discussing with one of our team members.

In these challenging times, we are making every effort to meet your vision care needs in the safest environment possible. We look forward to seeing you and serving you soon.
